Senior UI Designer working remotely with XAM Consulting, a specialist Xamarin application development company working with the teams behind Australias biggest brands and most agile startups across both web and mobile platforms. Duties as part of a project team included:

• Responsible for design culture change across the company, evangelising the importance of design systems, collaborative work and unifying design tool use across projects, and arguing the case with other internal designers.

• Creation of front end UI designs, prototypes and interaction flow.

• Version control of visual designs and point-of-contact for Figma design environment.

• Development and maintenance of Miro whiteboarding space.

• Participation in Azure DevOps environment, answering ticketed items and forwarding responses to development team.

• Implementation of Design Systems into the project, anticipating use cases and states for elements and making updates.

• Stakeholder management and gathering requirements from clients.

• Workshop and co-design with clients and other designers of XAM.

• Assisting in producing user stories.

• Working in agile methodology and participating in daily standups.

• Presentation of Figma workspace and prototypes to internal and external stakeholders. Gaining signoff and supporting developers with ad-hoc changes as required.

• Balancing client business goals and requirements with anticipated user needs.

• Ensuring clean handover of all produced elements to the client at the end of the engagement period.
